Is It Normal To Have Diarrhea After Bowel Resection?
I had a bowel resection on the 19/08. I had Crohn s disease in the teriminal illieum and so 30cm of my small bowel was removed 15cm of large and my appendix. Since having my bowel removed I have not had normal bowel movements. I have diareoha everyday and have not had a solid stool since te op. Is this normal ?
Hi and welcome to HCM, It is normal to have diarhea for some days after bowel resection. Since after months it has been consistent with same diarrhea then you need a follow up with your gastroenterologist. Track your diet. Some food may cause loose stools. Avoid those foods.
Wish you speedy recovery Thanks
