Is It Okay To Apply Diprovate –RD While Taking Isotretinoin Soft Gel Pills?
Hi Doctor, I am Having severe Acne for the last 2 months. Recently started taking isotretinoin based on a prescription by my dermatologist, what I would like to know is ,is it okay to apply diprovate –RD while I am taking the isotretinoin softgel pills.
Hi and welcome to HCM. Isotretinoin is a form of vitamin A. It reduces the amount of oil released by oil glands in your skin, and helps your skin renew itself more quickly and is used to treat severe nodular acne that has not responded to other treatments, including antibiotics. Diprovate –RD contains steroid betamethasone which is locally acting. Only systemic steroid has interaction with isotretinoin. You can use both simultaneously. All the best
