Is It Possible To Carry Out Biopsy For S-shaped Cervix?

I am 56, have had three pregnacies (last pregnancy term twins), have completed menopause and then one year later had a full period (including all other associated symptoms) and two bloody shows in subsequent months. My OBGYN was unable to complete an exam/biopsy of the endometrial layer because of scarring arising from a cone biopsy and cryosurgery 20 years ago. During a pelvic ultra sound, I was told I have an S-shaped cervix and this was the reason the biopsy could not be done. I was told I would have to have a procedure involving dialtion(?) in order to undertake the endometrial biopsy. This would involve I.V. sedation. Is there an OBGYN available for a response?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have s shaped cervix. So biopsy is difficult and dilatation is definitely needed. But I would like to advise if you are 56 then better you should go for hysterectomy. It will resolve your al problems and no any harm in that.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
