Is It Possible To Develop Glaucoma In The Eye After An Eye Injury?

hello just briefly I had an air bag accident back in 2008 which it struck my eye and got look at by eye specialist last years and I seem to have a littlebit of red ye and discomfort in my left eye which was the one that got hit by air bag would u say that im developing glaucoma in that eye tomorrow I will see a specialist but im very concern!!

Yes, it is possible. It can be caused by injuries that “bruise” the eye (called blunt trauma) and injuries that penetrate the eye.
Conditions such as severe nearsightedness, previous injury, infection or prior surgery may also make the eye more vulnerable to a serious eye injury.
