Is It Possible To Have An Inflamed Cervix With A Negative Std Results?

Doctors said my cervix or vagina doesn't look very happy. If I remember correctly she said my cervix is inflamed. So she gave me some antibiotics, did std testing but I need to wait for the results and did a yeast infection test which is negative.
My question is is it possible that I may have std? Or is it possible to have an inflamed cervix with a negative std results?

Hi,

Having an inflammed vagina does not necessarily mean you have STD. Common vaginal infections (bacterial) also cause cervix to be inflammed together with :

- using vaginal tampons/pads
- inserting foreign bodies inside vagina
- IUD

All the best!
