Is It Possible To See A Rheumatologist Privately ?

I require the services of a rheumatologist . I am booked in to see a NHS specialist on 8.3.2013, but really need to see someone before this. Is it possible to see a rheumatologist privately and if so, should I need an MRI scan , would it be possible to have it on the NHS. Also what cost would be involved in seeing a specialist privately?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Yes you can consult a rheumatologist privately. For this, you will have to book a prior appointment. The MRI scans and the blood tests that are needed for proper evaluation are best if done as per the recommendations of your rheumatologist.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
