Is It Safe To Give Piomed MG1 For Heart Patients?

Hello Doctor My mother has recently undergone angioplasty in Kolkata. she was diabetic and hence post operation was given insulin in injection form for 4 days while her stay in hospital. On release the doctor said continue with the medicine she used to take before. Now that I have tested the Blood sugar PP has come 450. May I know Piomed MG1 is ok for heart patients?she used to take that before along with Diabecon. Now I am giving her Diabecon one tablet once daily

Hello,
Piomed has piozone in it and should be avoided as it can cause water retention and result in heart failure.
Since PP sugar levels are above 400 which are very high,her anti diabetic treatment needs revision.
You must consult a diabetologist or a physician for proper treatment.
Considering the high sugar levels,it seems appropriate for her to be put on injection insulin for proper diabetes control.
