Hi & Welcome. It is not safe to take Bystolic and Verapamil together. If taken together Bystolic (Nebivolol) can exacerbate the effects of myocardial depressants or inhibitors of AV conduction such as certain calcium antagonists (particularly verapamil). Using these medications together can lower your BP and slow your heart rate. This can cause fatigue, fainting, swelling of the extremities, weight gain, shortness of breath, chest pain, increased or decreased heartbeat, or irregular heartbeat. For the long term treatment of Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) you need to consult a cardiologist for proper evaluation and possible use of other medications such as Amiodarone.
