While a hemorrhagic cyst is a short duration condition which resolves by itself, and endometrioma is a condition where there is a cyst formed when endometrial tissue (the mucous membrane that makes up the inner layer of the uterine wall) grows in the ovaries. This appears as painful menstruation. There may be problems with conceiving in some women. You may get your ultrasound repeated after 3 months and review findings.
