Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am hypothyroid and since I had a food allergy, 2 days back, was taken to emergency care and was given dexona injection. yesterday I came to know about contraindications of the med and am worried. I am having severe nausea and palpitation and totally tired feeling after that. Pls help.
I understand your concern but like to assure you that emergency doctor who have given dexona to you knows well about contraindications and side effects of dexona. Although nausea and palpitations are side effect of dexona but you need not to worry. It is self limited side effects and it will go away in short period of time. If it continues or it is severe(nausea) please visit your doctor as it may be indication of gastric mucosal injury.
'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help". Thanks
