Is Non Recognition After Bypass Surgery Normal?

My Mother in law had triple bypass surgery last Tuesday. She is Dibetic and over weight, She is on no medication in the CCU, she has had 3-4 unit of blood and there is blood in her stool. She has not eaten since the surgery. They gave her a cat scan yesterday, because she is now not recognizing or very lucid. What could be going on?

this stage of non recognition will be transit , she will be able to recognise you once she start to recover from such a big surgery , blood transfusion was given cos bypass surgery may involve lot of bloss loss , her lucid stage can be explained due to the effect of anaesthesia. I may assure you she will be fine with the recovery . Keep your faith and hope for only best.
