Is Pain And Popping In Hip Abnormal For A Child Of 11 Years?
My 11 year old daughter is experiencing left hip pain with school pre- athletics. She has noticed that her hip will sometimes pop in and out mildly dependant upon her stance, though not during sport activity. Is this abnormal for a child her age, and should I be concerned?
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. You should be worried but not too much. Your daughter is very flexible, popping is in hip is due hypermobility of joints, can be sign of dysplasia of connective tissue . I suggest you to check level of her glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate . For improvement of statement of connective tissue you can use Vitamin C 500mg daily for 10 days; Cartigen plus 1 tablet once a day for 1 month. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
