Hi,

The main component of Regestrone is Norethisterone, which is a kind of progesterone. Normally, it is used to treat irregular periods or heavy periods. However, this medicine can be safely used to delay periods with minimal side effects. Normally, you are supposed to start this medicine at least 3 days before your expected menstrual date and it is to be continued till the date you want, your periods to arrive.

Usually your periods will occur 2-3 days after stoppage of the pill. The usual dose of Regestrone for delaying the periods is 5 mg two times a day. The occasional side effects of Regestrone may be headache, dizziness, irregular spotting etc. However, usually these effects are transient and go by themselves with stoppage of the medicine.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
