Is Skin Thinning A Side Effect Of Bystolic, Amlodipine And Synthroid?

Hi, I am taking Bystolic and amlodipine for hight blood pressure and synthroid for Hyshimotos Throiditus and my skin has become so thin that my arms are so brused that it looks like someone is mistreating me. (No one is). I bruse at the slightest touch and if just slightly scraped I bleed like a stuck pig. Could some of this be caused by one of my medications?

Hi,

Drugs you are taking do not cause bruises or ecchymoses. So do not stope them. Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an autoimmune thyroid disease. It does not present bruises. So, the cause may be something else. Bruise is due to fragile capillaries in the skin. The senile age or vitamin C deficiency may be responsible. There is no need to worry. Take vitamin C 1000 mg twice a day. Apply thrombophob oint on the patches.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
