I would not recommend Gingko since it has unacceptable side effects including seizures. While in training I recall a patient (dentist) who crashed his car due to an unexpected seizure while behind the wheel. Luckily he survived. We assayed his cerebrospinal fluid and found high doses of Gingko which he admitted to taking in the recommended doses for his migraine headaches. Gingko can also cause liver damage. Aside from that it has not been found in any well designed headache study to be of any real value for headache prophylaxis. BTW, it has poor effectiveness for memory as well in case you were also wondering!
