Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have been having pain above the belly button this morning that lasted for a while until a few minutes ago. I went to the Doctor's last week for my physical and he said could possibly have IBS because I have been having stomach problems in the past. I was seeing a gastroenterologist a few years ago and she diagnosed me with dysmotility and made take Miralax to help with my stomach problems and I still take it to this day. With the new pain, should I be concerned or is this part of IBS?
May be you are having irritable bowel syndrome. You can take antacid enzyme reparation and anti spasmodic for few days. Get your stool tested and show the result to family physician.
