Is The Tenderness And Pain In Back Normal After An Internal Bleeding In Abdomen?
I had internal bleeding in abdomen mid Nov and was hospitalized 6 days and had about 4 units of blood. Tenderness and pain had been subsiding until a few days ago. Tenderness throughout back and rib cage. My doctor is out of town and I did not get a call back from his nurse. Pain wakes me up about every 2 hours and subsides with Ibuprofen. Is this normal?

Huge amount of blood collection could cause the pain but that would be more on abdominal side, and may be refer pain at the back and in the rib area, this is only possible when the blood collection is there if no blood collection is there then no pain would be there, you have to investigate the other cause of back pain, lumber problem could be the possible cause of your backache, take care and have nice day.
