Is There A Higher Chance Of Developing CMV Infection In Second Pregnancy?
i developed cmv in the last trimester of pregnancy. my baby was born full term and displays no signs of being affected by the virus (she is 16 months old now). do i have a higher chance of developing the virus again in my next pregnancy than an average person who was never diagnosed with cmv?
Hi, Once you have had the infection, you are immune to it in the future. Though you may have residual titres in the body there will be no infection. Hence if there is no active infection, during pregnancy, then future pregnancies will be safe.
