Hi,

Clexane injection contains enoxaparin which belongs to the group of anticoagulant or blood thinner medications known as low molecular weight heparins is used in the treatment and prevention of unwanted blood clots in the body due to any causes. For this reason, this medication is used in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, strokes, heart attacks etc.

Common side effects of this medication are headache or migraines, nausea, weakness, fatigue, tiredness, bleeding, pain and irritation at the site of injection administration, skin reactions like redness, itching or hives, diarrhoea, back pain, chest pain, fever etc. If these side effects persist for long or bother your patient, then you should consult your patient's doctor first for medical help. Clexane can be substituted with unfractionated heparin, Fragmin or fondaparinux, warfarin etc., if her doctor will decide to change her medication Clexane.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
