Is There Any Chances Of Pregnancy After Tubal Ligation As My Periods Are Delayed?
I m 46yrs old, i am not sleeping at night, i d be lucky to get at least 2hrs and then i m up and down the rest of the time. I have been having headaches and hot flushes and my period is a week late, i m never late. I have had a tubal ligation so I doubt I am pregnant. I m hoping you can shed some light on this.
It is very rare to get pregnant after having your tubes tied. I don't think you need to worry about pregnancy at this stage in your life. The symptoms you are having are quite common for a woman your age, and they are most likely due to perimenopause (the time period preceding actual menopause). This refers to the time around menopause, during which your cycle starts to change, which explains the delayed cycles. The symptoms of hot flushes are common as well, and sometimes even associated headaches. This will probably continue for a while, at least until menopause when your periods will stop altogether, and it is impossible top predict exactly how long it will last. You should talk to your doctor about possible treatments and if they are right for you. there are also many herbal products that some women find helpful, and they are usually available in most pharmacies and health food stores. If the symptoms become severe, you should definitely talk to your doctor. Especially the headaches which aren't typical for menopause, and may be caused by something else.
