Is There Any Drug Reaction Apo-Clindamycin And Marijuana?

Hi, I am currently taking Apo - Clindamycin for a possible infection in my incoming wisdom teeth, but I also am a regular smoker of marijuana. I was just wondering if I should take any precautions or be worried about a drug on drug reaction. Whats your thoughts?

Hello,

I understand your concern. Being an unregulated drug, marijuana's interactions with other drugs are not fully known and not enough studies have been conducted in order to give a clearer picture of the effect this drug has on the body.
There are, however, a number of well-known drug interactions with marijuana, which can be quite serious. While there is no known reaction to Apo-Clindamycin, it is best to put off smoking weed till after completing your course of antibiotics, just to be on the safe side. I understand that smoking might bring you relief from the possible pain or irritation you might experience with your incoming wisdom teeth, but taking a Tylenol every now and then is much better than smoking.

Wishing you good health and all the best.
