Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM
You seem to be suffering from severe grade Acne.
Acne is disease of sebaceous glands and various pathogenetic factors are implicated:
-Overactive sebaceous glands,
-
Propionibacterium acnes bacterium,
-Malassezia yeast,
-hormonal fluctuations,
-Abnormal Keratinization etc to name a few.
In my practice i start my patients on oral retinoids (
Isotretinoin) if they present me similar to you. Oral retinoids are Sebostatic(decreases oil production), normalises keratinization, are anti-inflammatory and decreases proliferation/population of Propionibacterium acnes as well as yeast(which feeds on your oil) in hair follicles.
You should visit a
dermatologist to get a prescription for oral anti-acne medications(Antibiotics and Retinoids).
Can continue with sulfamethoxazole/
trimethoprim along with for 2 weeks but it has serious side effects to its name like bone marrow suppression, severe drug reaction like SJS/TEN so cant be used for long.
Topical treatment is a valuable adjunct to any form of acne treatment. Dermatologists around the world prescribe topical gels/creams containing topical antibiotics like either clindamycin 1%/
benzoyl peroxide 2.5%/ Nadifloxacin.
take care.
