Is There Any Relation Between Elevated CRP And Valve Disorder?

I have a diagnosis of pulmonary valve stenosis - very functional. I recently had blood work done that reveled an elevated CRP. My doctor's nurse told me it indicated a cardiac inflammation. Is there any connection to the valve disorder. Do I need to be alarmed?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I can understand your worry, apart from the CRP you should be more concern about the valve disease it self and not for the CRP, because this is kind of enzyme that goes high during the tissue inflammatory process and this is not the direct indication of damage of your pulmonary valve, if you are really serious about your valve then you should go for ECHO study this will give exact data of pulmonary valve so you can mange the disease, but CRP has got no role for to worry, hope this information helps you, take care and have nice day.
