Is There Any Side-effects For Colic-aid? Can We Use It On Daily Basis?
Hello Sir, My 6m old daughter is suffering somehow specially at nights.she cries a lot during night.. And, we are observing that after a dose of Colic-Aid, she gets ok..there is no dose given during the day..
Unable to understand the cause: - is it due to winter? (we are living in Noida) - is it due to colic which gets increased in night? - is there any side-effects of colic-aid and can we use it on daily basis?
Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks, Deepak
Hi. Welcome to HCM. colicaid contains simethicone, dill oil and fennel oil. which is used in Infantile colic, flatulent dyspepsia, regurgitation. Simethicone is an anti foaming agent and helps in removing the gas and its side effects are rare. colic are very common in babies and u can give colic aid as recommended by paediatrician. Some babies have more colic in nights. But colics tend to to come down as baby ages. If this continues even after 6 months its better to consult a pediatrician. And also remember recommended dose of colicaid can be given every 4 hours in infants. It has very minimal or no side effects. dont over feed the baby in nights. Regards
