HI welcome to HCM,
Shingles can occur in any individual with depressed immunity states like infection or surgery,ex asd/vsd surgery. This infection is due to reactivation of latent virus.this infection is usually not detrimental to health when properly treated.Drugs like acyclovir and vancyclovir can help to eliminate the infection. Most cases resolve spontaneously. This infection is not a contraindication for further surgeries on heart.Consult your doctor for further queries.
thank you
