Is Thumping In Lower Right Back Normal While Being On Low Carb Diet?
I just finished my third month on a low carb diet, 40-60 carbs a day, and the past few days I feel a thumping in my lower right back. It s not like a heartbeat it s more like a swishing. It lasts about 10-20 seconds at a time and about 5-6 times a day. Could it have something to do with the diet?
Hello. Thanks for writing to HCM. I read and understand your question very well. I try my best to explain you.
As you have low carbohydrate diet and you feel thumping in lower right back, it is may be due to empty intestine filled with air or may be anything. If you have not problem with that than it is ok , it will be normal in few days. But after few days it doesn't resolve and it hurts you than do sonography of your abdomen and consult a good surgeon for this.
I hope my advice will help you a lot. Thanks and regards. Dr Vijay
