Is Vaginal Pain And Black Chunky Spotting After Removal Of Cervical Polyps Normal?

I am 16 weeks pregnant and had cervical polyps removed on Monday. Due to the size of the polyps I underwent an epidural and did receive a stitch or two on the cervix. Since last night I have had persistant vaginal pain and black chunky spotting. Starting this afternoon these symptoms have been accompanied by the frequent need to urinate. Are these symptoms normal?
