It Taking Plan B Advisable After Unprotected Sex Despite Being On Birth Control Pills?
I am on birth control (the pill) and I decided to skip my period last month because I was going on vacation. Because of the time difference, I also changed the time of day I take my pill (from 5:30pm to 11:00 am). During the first week of my new pack, which was when I should have had my period, I missed one pill resulting in taking 2 pills the following day. Since then I have taken all the pills on time. I had unprotected sex on the day the fertility calendar says I am most fertile if I were to have not skipped my period. Is it a good idea to take plan b? I have taken it in the past because of taking the pill inconsistently but I was wondering if this time that my most fertile day still applies since I skipped my period.
Hi there, Thank you for your question. You do not need to take Plan B. You just missed one dose of your pills and you took that dose the next day. So I would not worry. Regards
