Hello,
As far as diabetes is concerned, your HBA1c levels are good. The main concerns are high LDL levels.
Although keeping them below 100 is good but being a diabetic, you should bring your LDL levels to below 80.Agressive management of high LDL levels are required to prevent or slow down the process of atherosclerosis, the mother of all macro vascular diseases.
Your BP is also high as the target levels should be below 120/80 mm of Hg.
It is not difficult to control your BP.You must talk to your doctor who can add some anti hypertensive medicine to your current treatment.
Control your weight,go for calorie reduction and do regular exercises along with tight control of your sugar levels, blood pressure level and lipid levels.
Thanks
1. you HbA1c is 6.35 which is alright. Generally the target we keep is 2. Your blood pressure is still a little high. We would like it 3. you LDL is also high- it should be less than atleast 100 (
Hope this has been helpful.
Regards
Dr. Om Lakhani
