Lactating Mother With Irregular Periods. Taking Daphne. Need To Change The Pills?

Hi I gave birth 13th of feb this year. I am breastfeeding and I am now taking daphne as prescribed by my OBy. But already had my period 2 times in a span of 3 weeks. I see my OBy and had an ultrasound but see nothing. She said it could possibly be because if the pills I am taking. And it is normal that im bleeding and this irregular menstruation may take up to 3 months. If this continue to 6 months then that was the time that i need to see her again and she'll change the pills I am taking. I Had my menstrual period a week ago and to my surprise I had my period again. It's like I am having my period every other week. Is it still normal? Do I really need to wait that long to make another consultation and had to change the pills? I already consumed a pack of daphne and started using the second pack of daphne 3 days ago. Hope to hear from you. Thank you very much in advance.

Hello,
You delivered on Feb 13th. Almost 3 months and 9 days. You are breast feeding your child.
The Combined Oral Contraceptive Pill (COCP) is contraindicated for lactating mothers.
The only contraceptive pill can be progestin-only pills (mini pills). It has to be taken at a particular time in a day, continuously without break. As it is taken continuously
getting irregular period is common. Ultrasound Scan is Normal.
The 6 months time is given to determine which type of contraceptive pill can be given and that too depending upon your amount, frequency of breast feeding and breast feeding is the only source of food for your baby.
Till then I think continue the same tab.
Best wishes for you!
