Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
As doctor said lactogen can be mixed with cow milk. Doctor Cow milk contains hight PRSL load which is not recommended for babies. Why casein ratio is 30:70 in Lactogen, better you use farex which has why casein ration 60:40 compared to mother milk. Lactogen is 100% sucrose where mother milk is 100% lactose . To digest sucrose, amylese has not been developed in baby within one year. so use farex or any other soya milk but do not recemend cow milk which is strickly prohibited by roberton s, avery, American paediatric association ESPHAGAN etc. for babies farex is better option than lactogen.
welcome to healthcaremagic,
We do not promot formula milk but encourage breast feeding which is always superior than any milk for baby.the information about mothers milk is not true(100% lactose).
thanks.
Hello.
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.
For infants, farex is definitely a better choice as compared to lactogen or cow's milk speciaaly in children with lactose intolerance. Also, these days special formulas like NAN - 1 and NAN-2 are available for infants according to their age group.
