Large Red Welts Along Thighs, Underarms. Using Topical Cortisone, Benedryl, No Relief. Treatment?
My daughter has huge red welts along the back of her thighs and her underarms with a few more spots here and there. We thought it was either mosquitoes or chiggers since she was playing out in the yard Wednesday night. It does not seem to be responding to any topical cortisone or taking benedryl . school nurse just sent her home.

hi large welts along the thighs and underarms can be tinea corpois it is afungal infection caused by superficial fungi like dermatophytes.it presents as erthematous welts over the thighs and in the armpits it is mainly due to excessive sweating.use atarax 25 mg at night and use of terbinafine 250 mg for 14 days and application of terbinafine ointment can cure it
