Left Arm Numbness, Dull Ache In Shoulder Blade, Weakness. What Could Be The Reason?

I woke up 2 days ago with my left arm completely numb as I had slept on it. Then a few hours later a persistent dull ache in my shoulder blade seemed to happen every ten seconds. Along with the pain, it feels like my left arm along the bottom that connects to my ring and pinky finger , wants to go to sleep. And there is some weakness with it.

I went through your problem description. The numbness should be due to some awkward positioning of your hand during your sleep. I presume that the previous day, you were very tired.

Naturally body tries to overcome the numbness and pumps blood with more pressure. This clears the problem within minutes. The pain on the shoulder and hand weakness also can be associated with the awkward position.
