hello
while a wisdom tooth (or for that matter any tooth )is erupting, it causes thinning of the overlying gum
no in case of wisdom tooth ,due to its position ,food particles get impacted in between the tooth and the gums. This leads to overgrowth of bacteria in that region and hence pus formation and subsequent painful episodes
now what i would suggest is that you pay a visit to your
dentist and get a radiographic evaluation done ,that there is enough space for the tooth to erupt
if not than go for an extraction
In the meanwhile to reduce infection you can take following medication
1.tab clavum 625 twice daily for 5 days
2.tab combiflame for twice daily for 5 days
also do a lot of luke warm saline rinses ,that will help a lot in tooth eruption
hope that helps
