Leg Pain, Radiating Down, Got Electrocuted. Family History Of MS. Advice?

I got electrocuted a little over a week ago now my leg really hurts, especially in the hip area. It radiates down to my knee and there is numbness in my shin. I was hoping it would taper off and go away, but it hasn't. MS runs in my family, I know there are no studies directly linking it to hereditary reasons. I'm kind of scared what the doctor might say. Thanks for any advice.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM
The symptoms that you are having are likely to be due to a nerve root compression at the level oflumbar spine. This does not seems to be linked with MS. You need to get an MRI scan of the area done and consult a neurophysician for proper diagnosis and treatment.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and informative and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care.
