Loop Removed, On Trapic. Heavy Bleeding. Advised Norgest. Is That Correct To Start With Norgest? Advose
i had my menstrual cycle on 22nd May for 5 days, then i saw spotting during 1st June for 2 days then it continued from 8th June. i had pelvic scan and found that the loop has moved to lower segment. the bleeding was continuing though not that significant. I got the loop removed by a doctor on 17th june and she advised me to have Trapic table twice a day. i see heavy bleeding and it is 1 week i am having Trapic. The doctor advised to have tab Norgest if the bleeding does not stop.
Please advice is that correct to start with Norgest? what is your opinion on my case.

hi.. you have heavy bleeding after the removal of the intrauterine contraceptive device and you are put on drugs to reduce the bleeding with tranexamic acid.. if it doesnot stop then you have to switch over to hormones like progesterone(norethisterone).. your doctor is right in choosing the progesterone for stopping the bleeding.. sometimes you may have withdrawl bleeding after you stop the progesterone also.. see your gynaecologist in that case.. all the very best..
