Losing And Gaining Weight, Swelling In Hands And Feet, Dry Skin, Hair Fall. Thyroid Test Were Negative

I have being batteling with loose and gain weight, swollen hands and feet, hair fall, dry skin, my toe nail falling for no reason, facial hair. I have being test many times for thyroid etc. Everything negative. In my family there's a pattern of Thyroid all females in the family have some type of Thyroid problem, one of my aunt have the glands remove. I am sick of being test and nothing come out I'm a 37 years old women who feel like 80. Please any advice.

Thyroid function tests involve assessing the levels of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), T3 and T4 . T3 and T4 are the thyroid hormones.

In hypothyroidism , the levels of T3 and/or T4 are low and TSH is increased.If you have been repeatedly tested for these hormones and they are always normal, then it is unlikely that you have thyroid disease.

There are other causes for the symptoms that you are describing and your doctor may evaluate you for these. Examples are anemia, hereditary hair loss, physical or emotional stress, autoimmune diseases such as lupus, depression.

Assessment would involve screening questionnaires and blood tests.
