Low Grade Fever, Body Pain, Reoccurring Symptoms. What Could Be This?
I have had a low grade fever, 99.8 for just past two days with pretty bad body aches. This is the 3rd time in less than 5 months that i have had these symptoms. I do not have health insurance currently so I cant go to the Dr unless its really bad. I dont want to pay a fee for them to tell me its a virus. which Im assuming that is all it is but getting worried.
It is possible that the symptoms are related to a viral infection. Many viruses cause muscle aches and pains along with fever. Any additional symptoms that are present can be used to distinguish the type of virus present for example dengue virus causes these symptoms along with pain around the eyes, headache and rash.
Flu virus would also cause aches and pain, fever, fatigue, headache, cough and nasal symptoms.
You can consider using medication to help the fever such as paracetamol, increasing your fluid intake (use cold fluids), rest. If you do not feel better after a few days then you would need to visit your doctor.
I hope this helps
