Lump Found On An Injured Elbow. What Can It Be? Leave It Alone?

Hi I crashed on my mountain bike and landed on my left elbow . I ripped the flesh open on a cobble stone and required 9 stitches in my arm . An x-ray taken at the time did not reveal any break in my arm. About 3 months after the crash (and with the flesh wound completely healed) a pea size lump formed on the bone at what would have been the main point of impact. It is hard and painful if I lean on it. What is the likely cause of this lump and is there anything that can be done to remove it. Thanks C
