Lump In Belly Button, Pulling And Stinging Sensation, Bloated. What Is Going On?

Hi. I am a 43 year old female and I discovered a lump about an inch above my bellybutton on the left side and am having some pulling and stinging sensations , along with bloating along the left side of my belly button. It is possibly a hernia. I teach weight lifting classes and do not want to continue until I know I will not be hurting myself further

Hello,

weightlifter are prone to develop hernias of the abdomen.
This occurs due to increased intra abdominal pressure.
Due to advance in the age the muscles lose its tone and can not withstand high intra abdominal pressure.
By history it appears to be Paraumbilical hernia.
Evaluation is needed.
