Lump In Groin Area, Below Hip Bone, Tenderness On Touching It, Itching. Treatment?
I have just discovered a lump in the pelvic/ groin area, in the fold of my thigh, roughly about 3 inches under my hip bone . I noticed a few comments on this website from women with similar symptoms but no answers or suggestions. It is tender when I touch it but I only just noticed it because I had an itch . The lump is under the skin, not visible, no swelling from what I can see.
Such lump can be an inguinal hernia, enlarged lymph node or some kind of benign skin lump (like sebaceus cyst or lipoma). Hernia gives symptoms like pain when coughing or lifting heavy objects. The best way to have it diagnosed is to perform ultrasound of this area.
Hope this will help.
Regards.
