Lump On Hand After Hand Injury, Tissue Damage. What Is It?
after falling down steps I injured my left wrist and hand the doctor found it was not broke however I have a lump that is on my hand that will not go away and little bumps on my arm underneath the skin its only been 3 or 4 weeks so my question is will that go away on its own or is that a problem that I m going to have to look into or is it soft tissue damage and will it repair itself. I am still following up with the doctor in another 2 weeks if needed however I was looking for a second opinion or thought thank you.
I am sorry to hear about what happened to your hand.
From the information you have provided, it is most likely a soft tissue injury or a subcutaneous hematoma. Normally it should regress progressively over time to a very small and negligeable size unless otherwise. However, if you think it is rather increasing, then it would be of concerning but if it has been reducing, then please exercise some patience. It should be okay all by itself.
Stay relaxed, follow up with your doctor and it shall be okay. All the best. Dr. Ditah, MD
