Lump On Neck, No Pain. FNAC Report Shows Hemodiluted Paucicellular Aspirate. Indications?
sir, my wife have lump on her neck without any pain in it. we visited doctor and he advised FNAC ,but we are not able under stand the report .report is.... specimen..... FNA ,cervical lymph node. clinical history......Cervical lymphadenopathy,posterior triangle. Gross..............received 3 slides Mricroscopic........ Hemodiluted paucicellular aspirate revealing occasional fragments of mature fibro-adipose tissue with blood elements in a background of hemorrhage. No granuloma or malignant cells seen. IMPRESSION........ Hemodiluted paucicellular aspirate, preclude any definite opinion
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really understand your concern, the report says that there is blood contained what ever taken or aspirated from the swelling, the material which aspirated contains the blood, this is the very common thing when the simple lymph node being taken for FNAC procedure, If I would be your Doctor then I would wait for some time and put the swelling under close watch, I never ask for FNAC until I see some clinical sign for this because aspirating such lymph node always aspirate the blood and come nothing in aspiration which can be examined, now just wait for some time and need not worry it will go away even if does not vanished nothing to worry about it, hope this will help you have nice day.
