Dear friend, welcome to Healthcaremagic!
I am Dr. Prasad Akole (Critical Care Expert- http://bit.ly/Dr-Prasad-Akole) and am glad to address to your query here.

The MRI shows hyperdense areas at the grey-white matter interface indicative of ischemic areas (where blood supply to the brain is reduced).

It is common at advanced ages.
But for an age of 24, it is unusual of ischemia and needs proper evaluation for the cause. There can be many differentials.

It is difficult to comment on without seeing the MRI plates and history and physical examination.
I would advise a detailed evaluation by a neurologist and additional testing to find out the cause.
CSF (cerebro-spinal fluid) examination, complete blood count may be done.

I hope to have answered your query satisfactorily. I would be glad to answer any further queries. Take care and please keep me informed of your progress at http://bit.ly/Dr-Prasad-Akole. You could directly ask me at this ID.
Good Luck!
