MRI Of Brain Done. What Does Findings Mean?

I had an MRI of my brain yesterday and got the paper results today. they say there are bifrontal signal abnormalities, left greater then right, that are predominantly planar and involve white matter. these may be related to an od posttraumatic or vascular insult. the pattern is otherwise nonspecic, and demyelinating lesions related to vasculitis or multiple sclerosis would be in the differential diagnosis but are felt to be less likely, if thescant be differentiated on clinical and/or laboratory grounds, then a six month follow up brain mri may benefit. what is this telling me

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
MRI findings should be correlated with clinical findings (history and physical examination findings).
So, it would be useful if you can share the clinical details with us.
MRI findings are minor and non-specific, and could occur with old brain injury, ischemia (lack of blood flow to brain) or multiple sclerosis.
Please get back if you require any additional information.

Best wishes,
