MRI Showed Abnormality In L4-5 Disc, Mild Indents At The Left Of Thecal Sac. Remedy?
Hi I done my Mri it shows Every structure in the spine is normal apart from L4/5 Disc.This is mild loss of disc height and signal wth broad based left lateral disc bulge.this mildly indents the left side of thecal sac .there was small ammount of fluid signal between the spinous processes of l4/l5 consistent wthh the degree of interspinous bursitis .
Hi,thanks for writing to HCM. Your MRI findings are not a major concern if your are asymptomatic (without any back pain complaint). Simple measures like
- bedrest
- analgesics with ocassional muscle relaxant
- intermittent hot fomentation
- avoiding excessive bending activities & lifting heavy weights
may help alleviate your symptoms. If they still persist and are troublesome, you need an orthosurgeons consultation. Hope this helps
