MRI Shows Diffuse Disc Bulging, Bilateral Neural Foramina. Related To Fall And Head Injury?
I received my mri results today and they showed that there is a c5/6 diffuse disc bulging with endplate osteoplytes indenting on the dural sac and abutting the spinal cord and right anteriorly. Bilateral neural foramina are mild to moderately narrowed by uncovertable joint hypertrophic degenerative changes right worst than left. Could this be related to a hard fall i had about 6 months ago on the left side of my body including my head?
Hi, all the findings in your description suggests "cervical spondylosis" which is a degenerative disease occuring in old age. You cant expect a fall to trigger so many changes in your cervical spine within 6 months. The management of this condition will be conservative intially by taking analgesics, intermittant physiotherapy, using a cervical collar etc. Hope this is informative for you. Regards
These are degenerative changes / age related...
They have nothing to do with your trauma
You have not stated your age, gender, personal habits, family history or co-morbidities
You should discuss with Neurologist and/or Orthopaedician for favour of further assessment and assistance...
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
