Marijuana User Has Burning Sensation In Back Of Throat And Chest Pain. What Is The Reason?
Hello, for the past 4 days ive been feeling like something is stuck in my throat, last 2 days I got a burning sensation in the back of throat. you should know I have been a heavy marijuana user for about 5 years now, and I cough quite a lot when I smoke. It feels like my throat is irritated. Also about 2-3 weeks ago after a bad coughing fit during a smoke I got a dull achy pain on the right side of chest. The throat thing is also towards the right tonsil. I am a 32 year old female, do not smoke cigs, but did in the past maybe for about 2-3 years.
Hi, Despite the beliefs about apparently benign nature of marijuana (cannabis) use, it is a dangerous addiction with a host of adverse effects like anxiety, panic reaction, anxiety, palpitations, increased symptoms of chronic bronchitis, such as coughing, production of sputum, and wheezing etc. As you have been a past smoker & self admitted heavy marijuana smoker; your problem most probably resembles acute exacerbation of bronchitis. Hence, I would sincerely advise you to immediately stop smoking marijuana as thankfully it can be stopped abruptly without any significant discomfort. Secondly consult a doctor for using mucolytics like mucinex, bronchodilator meds like terbutaline & steroids for controlling inflammation. Good luck
