Massive Bruise In Inner Thigh, Chest Pain, Nausea. Had Scratched After Itching. Any Ideas?
Hi,
I just discovered a massive bruise in my inner thigh, for which I have no explanation. I do remember that the tight itched this morning and I scratched for about two minutes. Can this have caused the massive bruise? I am also suffering (over the last weeks) from unexplained chest pains and nausea, but felt okay today until I discovered the bruise... I am wondering if this bruising could have any serious cause or it is normal to bruise that much after a little scratching? I never had such a massive deep purple, blue bruise before and am worried now...

i can understand your great concern regarding the bruise. It appears from your query that you have had this bruise suddenly. Now it is important to note that it can be because of local trauma or by systemic cause. You gave a history scratching at that site but mild scratching can not cause massive bruise, it can only be possible if the intensity of the scratching had been too high. If you haven't scratched that much then it indicates us towards some systemic cause of the problem. Along with it you have unexplained chest pains and nausea so it is best to consult a physician at the earliest who can guide you best for this problem and its solution. Meanwhile do not try any self medications, do not scratch or disturb the area by pinching or pressing it.
