Meat Stuck To Throat. Natural Narrowing In Esophagus? Can We Do Something?
My husband was eating bbq ribs and has something stuck in his throat . He has a natural narrowing in his esophogus and has had to have food surgically remove before. This time he thinks its much farther down and that it might have been a bone chip. He is able to breath fine and is able to swallow saliva (usually when there is a blockage he cant) Is there anything we can do?

Yes.... esophagus has normal narrowing at different level and there is high chances of getting stuck at any level.
Bone piece impacted in esophagus at lower level does not interfere with breathing.
You should consult with physician / ENT surgeon and should go for x ray chest on urgent basis.
On urgent basis, because impacted bone piece may cause localized ulcer with risk of rupture of esophagus.
You should go for Endoscopic guided removal of impacted bone piece.
At times impaction is so severe then you may require removal under general Anesthesia with use of rigid endoscope.
